Spring ushers in a powerful new season of The Supervet, the hugely popular series in which the brilliant and empathetic ‘bionic vet’, Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and his team provide cutting-edge care and compassionate support for both animals and their human families
The new season sees Noel and his team facing some of their most emotional and technically challenging cases to date.
Professor Noel Fitzpatrick is faced with one of his most challenging cases yet. Bella the Boxer is referred to the practice after being involved in a road accident a year earlier that left her with extensive injuries to her pelvis and hind legs. Noel offers the family the option of new stem cell scaffolding technology that has never before been attempted to fill such a large area of lost bone. The procedure comes with significant risk and there are no guarantees of success, but this may be Bella’s last hope.
A convoy of carriers arrives in reception holding four young hedgehogs each with a broken left hind leg. Surrey charity, Wildlife Aid, hope Noel will be able to fix the little hoglets so they can be eventually be released back into the wild.
Gizmo the kitten is brought in with a broken leg after an accident at home. He is 6-year-old Summers close companion and she is anxious to get her furry friend back home.
